Have any of you pedaled around Geneva Lake? We’re wondering what kind of shape the path (if there is one) that goes around the lake is in, and where a good starting place would be. I doubt we’re the only ones to wonder that too, who’s willing to share some advice on this cold snowy day?

This is a link to the Chicago Triathalon Club's route map from Barrington, around Lake Geneva and back. It is about a double metric. I have only done parts of the route but a friend recommends it.

Thanks for the link. Did you do the parts around the lake?

Never on a bike, only in a car. There is a lot of traffic on the weekends but the speed limit isn't too high (except on HWY. 50). Not much in terms of a shoulder but the roads are in good shape.

I have ridden the roads around Crystal Lake, Bull Valley, Woodstock, Hebron, etc. Best hills* in the greater Chicagoland area.
