What's this ride like? A few friends and I are making the trek down to the southland to ride this course (a new one from description) and then watch the runners as they finish the LA Marathon. Any past experiences, comments, suggestions, "Do's" & definite "Don't Do's" are appreciated. How about where to park the car? :)

After reading that other thread, it sounds like it won't quite be like riding up here in the Santa Ynez Valley. :rolleyes: The advice to "be there early and in front" seems very sage indeed. Thanks! Now all we have to do is not run over old ladies & kids from what the posts seem to imply. :eek:

If you like we are going to have a SGRT ride on 3/3!
I am passing on the Marathon this year...even the route has changed and is not as good...
But the LA River ride in June is a nice ride to Long Beach and back!!
But nothing would be as good as Santa Ynez!!
