Salsa's school was closed yesterday, when it was @40 degrees & raining. Today, all that rain is freezing, it's snowing, every county around us has closed, but he's got school. I think they were embarrassed about yesterday!

In wayland, the superintendent is quite the decision maker. In fact, he doesn't make any decisions!
Last year there was a day that was KNOWN by everyone that we were going to get hit, pretty badly as far as snow goes. Go into school everything's alright...Halfway into school we get slammed. By the end of school there was 7 inches on the ground. Kids who usually took 15 mins to get home took up to an hour+, metco kids who lived in the city spent upto 5 hours in a bus. And the sad part was that all of boston was closed, except for the kids who had to come into school out here.
Then the next day there is light snowing...NO SCHOOL.

Staying home from work. The back roads here where I live, weren't salted, and heard on the radio that there were accidents out on 309 and other places. Didn't want to chance it. :) The company can do a day without me. :D

I live 1/2 mile from work, and besides that, unless power is out, I can still work. I VPN into the network from home if I need to to get what I need to work. I've got far too much to do to stay away from the office on a work day (unless I want to work on weekends and during my vacations).

They actually sent us home from work an hour early yesterday, only the second time since I've been here. We probably had at least 4 feet of fresh snow in the last 24 hours.
