OK, put the bats down. No intervention needed. I called the radio station we listen to most and had them wish her a happy 10th Valentines Day on the air. Then I gave her the card. It's 18 inches by 24 inches and has a really romantic theme. Then I wrote quite a bit in it about how special she is to me and how much I love her and our life together. About halfway through reading the card the faucet opened. I know when that happens that I got it right! I hope everyone else is having as good a Valentines Day.

we have a tradition.

we get a big bucket of popeye's fried chicken, mashed potatoes, bisquits, the works. then we wash it all down with a $100 bottle of wine and watch movies in our bathrobes. it's great.

And I was thinking, "What did he do to piss her off so badly that she cried...and on Valentine's Day, to boot?!"

I know who's going to have a good valentine evening in any case. ;)

Hint: Now is the time to ask for kinky stuff. :P

Finishes taking notes...

Last time I made my wife cry was just a few weeks ago. I rented the movie "Simon Birch".

I bet this is the part that touched her. I always think its funny when guys buy cards for their significant other with words already in them. "Here honey, I bought you this card that...someone else wrote..."

 This kind of ***** makes us other men look bad. Your wife is going to tell all her friends and co workers how sweet her husband is, and all her friends and co workers are going to go to their boyfriends and husbands and say " Why can't you be more like Soonerbent?" GRRRRR!
I'm not puting my bat down, I'm going to klunk you over the head with it.

oh, bah humbug, efrobert. It isn't what soonerbent DID that is so touching, it is that he did what meant something special for her. He knows her well enough to understand what touches her heart in his own way. I am sure that when/if you have a special person in your world that you are capable of showing them how much they mean to you as well. And you would do it with your own style and would do something that would touch their heart just as much.

cheers!

Good deal, nothing like making a woman cry in happyness.
