Here I sit, on my grounded chair,
Thinking about things over there,
Where is "there", you ask?
It is a place without a task
it is a place of whiskey flasks
it is a place where you relax
it is far from here, far from my steel jungle.
Towers full of electroncs all around
machines full of curcuits abound
things that make you wonder or make you frown
all of it making sounds...
sounds of fans, sounds of beeps
sounds of high voltage, crackling deep
There are no birds here, in this steel jungle.
Our sunlight come from 30 feet up
Our water comes from styrofoam cups
in this steel jungle
This is the steel jungle, full of metal trees and electrical vines
this is the place I work, so undivine
Whatever I see in it, I don't know
but I do see this monitor's bright glow.
