I would like to know who's in favor of having a overpass trail bridge built at the intersection of I 53 & I 72 which is known as one of the most dangerous intersections in the midwest?
i am trying to get support from people so this may be done in the near future.as some of you may know during this riding season on good days a lot of people us this trail.besides us bikers there is also joggers, roller bladders, skate boarders and walkers and this intersection poses danger to all of us and by having a overpass bridge built we can eliminate this danger.
in the pass i have seen too many people, including children, get hit and hurt at this intersection so i feel this would a good and safe thing to do.

What's your opinion?

Thank You
Earl

Well, they feel that Higgins (72) on the east end of the trail is good enough for an overpass, as well as one over 290/53 from Martingale/Rowhling just north of Biesterfield, so why not at the crazy 53 & 72 interchange?

I think I've walked my bike at that intersection every time I rode Busse Woods back when I worked right across the way on Martingale. An overpass would be ideal, given the popularity of the loop there.

Busse Woods is a nice path, but can get quite crowded with bladers, dog-walkers, elk-gawkers, slow-teenagers-in-love walkers, etc.

i rode this path a couple days ago after i got off work...
there were 2 down trees blocking the trail about a half a mile apart from one another.
fun nonetheless :D
