Foo - Anyone ever have someone try to pick

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
you up while your driving?? Okay this hasn't just happened once but a couple of times now.
Yesterday I was driving home from work, in the fastlane and a Toyota 4-Runner comes up along side me on the right side with two guys (cute). They were waving their phones at me etc. I was like is something wrong with my car?? They just keep smiling and talking to me like I could hear them. I got pretty much what they were saying, I had to get off at my exit to go home.
I was just wondering do people really think your going to give them their phone number while driving??

Snowy you weren't paying attention we were trying to tell you that you left your cellphone on the roof of your car and it was about to fly off.

I had a woman wave the "call me" sign at me once. But it was pretty much a joke. We'd been pretending to "race" for a good 10 miles on the freeway, since we had strikingly similar (small, yellow) sportscars.

. . . then again, maybe she wasn't joking, and I missed out on meeting my soulmate. :(

If by "pick you up" you meant "run you down" then yes. All the time.

If I see a really cute girl driving I'll usually moon her with my phone # written on my butt cheeks.
I had some people trying to get my attention one time but I was late for a softball game so I gave them a sneer and took off... turns out I left my big iced tea I just bought on the roof of my car! Of course I didn't realize it until I got to the field! DOH!!!

Some pretty gal even winks at me, I'm all over it. Been known to leap from my car to hers in a single bound leaving mine to fend for itself in middle of the freeway at rush hour. Of course, since you've all seen my face, it's obvious I've misjudged that leap a few times.
My ex has had crumpled pieces of paper w/ their numbers thrown into her car window at stoplights before.
They try to pick me up but I guess I am too heavy and they always put me down!:(

Yes, I've had a few dates that started on the road.
Given that was when I was younger, in far better shape, and had a damn sexy car (tip for guys...polish the ever living hell out of your paint....if you can't read the newspaper in the reflection, get finer polish until you can...then put a good thick layer of wax on there and polish the ever living hell out of it too).
One of the more amusing ones was on a typical darn near empty Indiana freeway (I-69 south to be specific), some girls in a VW were passing me, making faces, then slowed right down to pace me....so I messed with them, passed them, blowing a kiss at them as I went past, and then slowed down to pace them.
This went on for about 20 miles, then one of them made it obvious they were pulling into a gas station....I followed and we started talking (I had my bud in the car too).....we ende dup on a double date that night.
All in all it was fun for everyone.
Of course more often than not I just got flashed....including the one time my mom was in the car with me.... "Steve, what was that...." *uhh....ah hell.....* "Did she just show you her breasts?" *I think so* "Why, do you know her?" *no* "Then why is she doing it?" *beats me...* "Steve, are you having one night stands" *what?*.....and that kind of thing just kept going....
That was definately a very odd discussion.....the pains of having a good looking car...

I guess something similar happened to me not too long ago.
On the way to tennis a few weeks ago, I floored my Honda getting out in a break in traffic as I left my neighborhood, then the first light turned red. At the stoplight, the SUV I had jumped in front of pulled up beside me in the left turn lane. After about 10 seconds, I casually looked over, and the guy was checking me out. He lifted his Starbucks cup in greeting and smiled. I smiled back. It felt pretty good. I turned back to the light, and didn't look at him again until I was pulling away from the light. In my rearview mirror, I could see he was still watching me. What a boost for my wounded female ego! Guess I'm gonna have to start looking around more at stoplights! :)

I had this hot guy with a moustache and mirrored glasses hitting on me in traffic. He even went so far as to get behind me and turn on all kinds of flashing lights and siren to try and get my attention. I just acted like he was not there, as that is just not the way to meet people.

Yeah, but I was out of doughnuts, so he left. If you feed them, they will just hang around forever.
