Usually this forum drops off on Saturdays, but it's been slow since the Palm Springs Century. Are people still out on the course? :p

Man, work is sucking and there's nothing going on here, I guess I'll have to go and read the abuse (Road Cycling) forum instead.

Been in meetings...just wrapped one up with my Computer Networking Club. I'm having our students come in next week to install Vista on some lab machines for play around purposes. Then once we get some hands on, we'll be meeting with another high school club via video conference to compare notes. This is gonna be fun!

My bike is in the shop for cable replacement and some tune up work so it's a trainer week (I have a separate bike on the trainer).

I made the mistake of wandering in there before, it wasn't what I expected it to be.

Okay, I just got back from giving my all in an attempt to smut it up, but it was weak. I just flirted with Chip Com and mentioned that I wanted to lick his avatar (which I do, he looks so good in that shot!). But I doubt I'll ruffle any feathers. No fun in that! :p

I am at home having glass of wine while the little misses is making "pasta puttanesca" ... very intersting choice if you know the history of the dish. I am not going to tell her what the history of it is though :
Quote from wikipedia :
My introduction to this famous pasta dish occurred when I overheard two elderly priests discussing the pros and cons of Spaghetti alla Puttanesca ("Wh*re's spaghetti") as they deliberated over the menu in a Neapolitan restaurant. Made of ingredients found in most Italian larders (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Larder), this is also known as 'Spaghetti alla Buona Donna' - or 'Good Woman's Spaghetti' - which can be misleading if one is not familiar with the ironic insult 'figlio d'una buona donna' - son of a good woman. To understand how this sauce came to get its name, one must consider the 1950s (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1950s) when brothels (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brothel) in Italy were state-owned

I use a bunch of their monitors. Heck, one of my Mac's is hooked to one of their 24 widescreens!

My Dell core 2 duo laptop's ok, it could use a better video card. I don't think I'd buy a desktop from them, though, I still build those myself.

Yeah, I like to build my desktop PCs also. I try to stick to Thinkpad's for laptops. Sadly, Lenovo is lowering the quality. I don't know what I'll do when this one bites the dust.

We have a bunch of Dell PCs and servers at work. Granted, they're mostly test machines, but we haven't had any problems. My Inspiron is fine as well.

I use a Dell at work. My opinion? it's a POS. but maybe I expect to much from the
lowest end of their computers.. like to work right... I know, I should lower my expectations.

However, my HP ( go ahead flame me ) at home work just fine.

Hahaha, I had to adblock that image. It's horrifying.

My Home HP works fine, but I don't put much strain on it. Mostly gets used as a file server.
