All,

I'm planning on climbing repeats up Palomar this Saturday and would like to be as close as possible parking wise to the base and was wondering if there are 'public' parking spots near the area.

The taco stand will now try to tow you if you're not a customer. Instead, park at Harrah's Casino. The south parking lot is usually empty. If you only want to do repeats on South Grade Rd., you can probably park near the intersection or at one of the first turnouts.

If you want to go up East Gr. Rd, you can park at Lake Henshaw. I've never parked at Harrah's but it's a huge lot. There's also a little strip mall a couple of miles north of the taco shop. It has a coffee/video store with a Specialized door mat.

I second the Harrah's overflow lot for South Grade or Lake Henshaw for East Grade. Have fun.
