Framebuilders - Lynskey 310 Custom Build

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I am purchasing a custom ti lynskey (level 3 tubing/material) road bike and I was wondering if anyone out there has a lynskey and would like to tell me about their experience/ride/etc.? I read the ones on their website and talked with my lbs quite a bit about them, but just wanted more input.
Thanks!

In my opinion their rear dropouts are pretty skimpy. One good prang could spell trouble.

So how did your Lynskey turn out....? Kinda surprised to read your looking for feedback after the fact, so to speak. Seems you would research the frameset before you put down a couple thou deposit....! I'm currently contemplating buying one myself, but am still looking for feedback on the frameset. Is there a Lynskey dealer in Austin? I used to patronize Freewheeling when we lived there, back when. I'm sure the scene has changed considerably since then.

Nessism I know of a couple of mtb ones that have failed at the dropout.

I'm not surprised.:(
Those spindly dropouts are just plain stupid in my opinion. They are doing it to look sophisticated and lithe. Marketing power over engineering.
