He'd have faith in himself and eat the peanut butter. Don't let Jesus down.

Throw it away, go out and get something to eat.

Just wash it down with some bleach. That'll kill anything that might be growing in it.

Put it on a sandwich with 2003 bananas.

if the lid has a date code of 2011 it can cause salmonella, the peanut butter, not the lid.

I don't recommend consuming the peanut butter. The oil can go rancid. In case you're not familiar with rancid, it tastes really bad, can give you the runs and make you puke. Won't kill you, or necessarily send you to the hospital, but you'll sure wish you hadn't eaten it.

If it's rancid, toss it. If it just smells stale, go ahead and eat it. It'll make you want to toss it and get fresh pb anyways.

I'll give you five dollars if you eat the peanut butter. That's right, I'm making it interesting now.

I ate some rancid sunflower seeds once. :( I can no longer even stand the smell of them.

I'll throw in a random bike part, of my choice. Now it's REALLY interesting! Perhaps you'll get a disk wheel, perhaps only a bit of wire from trimming my brake cables.

5 bucks eh? if USAZorro's prediction is correct, i might just use that much in toilet paper alone. i think i'm gonna toss it. i just have this old school thing about not throwing away food.

Im in on this too. I will send you all the toys that our dog has chewed up that I can find, or you can choose the "mystery box".

There is a peanut butter recall (http://investor.conagrafoods.com/phoenix.zhtml?c=97518&p=irol-newsArticlemedia&ID=963451&highlight=) because of salmonella contamination.

- umm... that would be 2111, not 2011... you must be thinking of Beverly Hills?

:-)

p.s. i just checked the pantry... i have *four* unopened jars w/the 'bad' code... gonna go make me a sandwich out of each one over the next four days... if i end of OK, i'll eat the stuff, then take each lid back to the supermarket for four free new jars! (just kidding)
