i've not been to Mardi Gras in NOLA, but i've been to it several times in Galveston.

i'll be in NOLA this year, though. hard to say no to an invitation to the Bacchus Rendevouz and free veiwing stand tickets for the Saturday parades.

i really want to make it to Carnevale in Venice some year.

I have been to Mardis Gras three times. I have also been to Carnivale in Rio De Jianero (2000). Mardis Gras is for Kindergateners.
