and this old integra in front of us which I found amusing because it had a VTEC sticker, and honda did not introduce VTEC into the US until 1993 or so, and this car is an 89 or older

Nope, looks like a 87-89. I owned one, hated it, but we won't go there.

You never know what could be under the hood of a honda,
engine swaps are cake in those cars.

Nice pics, looked like a fun day!

believe me its an 86-89 ... the taillights on the second gen integras are red on the bottom and clear / amber on top. Im fairly into imports also and drive a 1991 Civic LX with a SOHC ZC swap. I am a member at automotiveforums.com, superhonda.com, illusiverides.com, and shatter-box.net ... same username on all those sites.

As far as the possiblity of the teg having a swap I doubt it ... the clear coat on the roof was coming off, and the windows were full of bubbling purple tint.

Not as classic as the guys down the street who had a base line mustang with lots of extra plastic trim and several big "Shelby" stickers. :D
Nice pics. Excellent narration.

Great pics, sounds like a fun day. One thing stood out, though...a pickup truck with a bike rack on the roof? Where I come from, that's like mounting the gun rack on the hood. :D
