Mountain Biking - Just got back from the lbs....

And my custom transition double, mg-1s, 2007 x9 shifter/derailer, ti coil, juicy 7s, pg990, 07 talas 36 and hollyrollers are in:) !

I'm doing major renovations of both my bikes:D . (also just stripped my shiver to silver and added 05 stickers, as well as getting a custom red gold tooth mafia bash guard and 190 g sette ti seat for the faith).

Hey, you have to work to play. Just like they have to be built to ride. If I could I would have them magically be put together so I could go riding, but untill the bike fairy pays me a visit, I'll just have to do it the old-fashioned way, by hand (I'm going to help them out). Also, I live in portland and the traild are actually streams right now. I went for a run this afternoon (It has been pouring for a couple days) and the bike trails have little rivers in them (surrounded by a good 6 inches of mud), and I don't want to destroy/rut them out (I am by no means a fair weather rider, in fact, I gave gone through more bushings/bearings than any of my friends because I ride in just about anything). Thats what the double is going to be for, urban baby (aint no mud downtown)!


I forgot to say that I also ordered an 07 talas 36 as well (for the double):D

The double looks sooo raked with the travel all the way up.

Yeah, it makes the geometry feel like my faith (when the travel is at 160). 95% of the time it will be in the 100mm travel setting. I just wanted to show what it looked like with full travel.

I'm interseted in getting a new wheelset for the double. I was thinking about getting a white transition revolutuion one (I have a white bash guard on order, plus am going to try and get white bars). Anyways, my question is whether to get the 36mm wide or the 32 mm wide.

The 36 mm wide will make the tires wider but not as tall (which I think will give me better grip but less squish).
The 32 will make the tires taller but skinnier/rounder (which I think will give me more squish but less grip).

Correct me if any of this is wrong.

I will be running 2.4 holly rollers (more like 2.2s though).

If there is a better/diff wheelset you guys would recomend, let me know. Thanks for any input. Also, I will take suggestions on ANYTHING. I think it rides perfect now, so lets make it PRETTY:D

I'm not sure what that means, but it ride amazing. I could never for the life of me manual on my kona scrap or my DH bike. Now, on the first hour of riding, I can consistently manual at least 15 feet. It wheelies super easily. In the air it is super balanced, everything is right. The color is amazing. I thought it looked good on trans. website but it looks so much better in person. There is a silver flake that a camera cant pic up. My friends who gave me a ton of sh*t for getting the copper color all ate crow, voluntarily too.

The talas is the best sc I have ever ridden. It can be supper plush or nice and stiff. The travel adjust is amazing, going from DJ/Urban to FR/DH in 2 seconds. When it is in the 100mm mode, the double feels like a top or mob, super spot on. When it is in the 160 mode, it feels like a DH bike (its not akward as some may think).

TYhe 3.5 inches of travel in back is perfect. It wont bob at all pedaling or even bouncing. However, when bunnyhopping or jumping, it makes it seem like you land it perfect on a nice tranny, not matter what the landing is. Also, the frame is still super light.

I have no complaints what-so-ever (except price:o )
