Fubar,
Have you talked with bike club riders in your area or riders at your LBS?
Also look in your library and bookstores. Borders or Barnes and Noble usually have a decent selection of cycling books.

Keep us informed of your progress  and lay off the donuts. ;)

Don't forget to wear your "Bike Forums" jersey so we'll recognize you on TV. :D

Are the Bike Forums Jerseys available?!?!?!?!?!?:( I hope I didn't miss them.
I will surely let you guys know how I am doing. Getting off donuts may pose a tough task though....

Thanks technogirl, I think I can do it now. Wish me luck!!!

Ba-dg-er,
the main thing I want to work on is my anemic(spelled wrong I know) threshold.I geet up to my max heart rate way to quickly, and then I have a hard time recovering unless I stop. I have two hills just up the street, so I climb up,then go down, and go up the other side. I do this at about 17 mph until I feel like I am going to vomit, and then I take an easy spin around to recover, and then hit it again. I also found a copule things that help build bunny hop power and stuff like that. But my endurance/heart rate is my biggest concern.
