These are my current shoes. I think they look pretty good. In fact I would say I actually like the way they look. Would I wear them to the clubs? Probably not, but I definitely don't mind wearing them while cycling.

I wear those as well. Good first road shoe IMO.

I wanted something simple so I got these:

No disrespect, but those are seriously ugly. I think this is what the OP meant. If those shoes were an insect, they'd be a cockroach, and you'd be reaching for the spray. :D

Marresi makes beautiful shoes. The Eroica (which I can't find anywhere) is the best shoe I've ever seen.

You hooked me, I Googled Marresi and didn't find much. Any online shops? The 700 is nice.

I got a pair of these (NOS) for Xmas. Most comfortable cycling shoes I've ever worn.

If cyclists didn't wear these nasty confections, we'd be expelled from our exclusive club. Mountain bike shoes are too damned practical; why would we want to be able to walk to the curb, when we live in hope of being mistaken for a pro on vacation?

Because any man who shaves his legs and wear spandex in public isn't all that concerned with fashion or how he looks.
