I just bought a Red Diamondback Reactor jr and I would like to know more about the bike, year made, quality, were they successful in the races. beginners bikes or what!

I'm guessing this bike is 7 or 8 years old! The frame is 6061 Aluminum, it has Alex Rims, 20x1/38 tires, Flip-flop rear hub, DOTEK 165 MM 3 piece Cranks (the right side has 98-12-28 stamped on it, is this a date code?), and chromed cr-mo front forks! The serial number of the bike is ACK9E01715. The bike is in very good condition, no dents, there are scuff marks on the cranks but very few scraches on the frame. I suspect it saw more time on the street than on a track, because the rear tire is worn out!

I bought the bike because it appeared to be in good shape, I have no plans to race it (I'm 60 years old) or even ride it but I do collect bikes that catch my eye! What the heck, I had no BMX bike in my collection! But now I do!! I just want to learn what I can about Diamondback Reactor jr!

Thanks for your time!

Well, congrats on your first member of your bike collection, altough that would not quite be the first bike I ever used, it's not that terrible.

Mude, sorry if I appeared tense, actually I had taken my pill! ;-)

Yes, I do have details on the bike that I can see and touch such as color, components things like that! However, I have no experience with BMX bikes in general and certainly not this model bike in particular. I would like to know more about the bike, year made ( I thought color and Serial number might help), quality of the bike, Were they popular with racers, were they successful in the races. used in what classes, used by beginners, used by racers short on money, shortfalls of the bike! I was hoping someone who owned or raced one of these bikes or knew someone who did would share their reflections or provide some personal anedotes. That sort of thing! Basicly the type of info most collectors find of interest. I normally frequent the Classics and Vintage forum, recumbent forum and the folding bike forum, this type of info is commonly discussed there!

We usually discuss new parts, cars, sex, why Fitrider921 sucks, why his GF is a tramp and what we're learning currently.

Not many of us actually race.

I don't normally post, mostly because if I did I probably wouldn't get the answer/response I wanted, but that was a damn good reply WTP.
