ok, a while ago i posted on behalf of my friend who had her wheelset jacked. she works as a messenger, so she relies on her bike for her income. she's a very sweet person, and bad things just seem to keep happening to her...
her orange iro angus was stolen downtown on friday, i believe, and if anyone has any information, it would be much appreciated. my friend was in an accident involving a car, which actually broke her arm as i understand it, and while speaking to the driver and the police, trying to exchange information, the bike was stolen by some random ******* who had promised to keep an eye on it. totally an opportunity theft, so maybe the bike will show up somewhere obvious and dumb, like craigslist.
the bike has a YELLOW deep v in front and a BLACK deep v in the rear... both laced to black formula hubs, i believe. it has pake cranks, risers, and it may have electrical or some other kind of tape over the decals. the frame itself is ORANGE, but it may have been painted by the thief - who knows?
if you see anyone but a punk rock-ish girl with shoulder-length light brown hair riding this bike, THEY PROBABLY STOLE IT! take any action you deem necessary (for example, if you witness the bike being locked up, maybe throw a u-lock of your own around it once it is left alone?) or CALL ME - once again, my number is 508-728-1201... my name is john
sorry for the novel of a post, but i would really like to see my friend recover this bike, as she worked incredibly hard on a very ****ty conversion for a long time to afford it. she is one of the nicest people you could ever hope to meet, and definitely does not deserve this sort of luck (not that anyone does) i'm sure she would be happy to offer a reward for its return (or any of its parts)
thanks for taking the time to read through this!
