Does anyone know anything about bullet cameras? I'm thinking of bying the ATC2K wireless cam with 2GB SD memory card. Other options in the same price range?($ 250.00)

For the price I think that is your best bet.....
I saw some examples of recorded video on a few.....seems like the mount is key to not get that wobble effect. I took the jump and got an Archos 604. I will get the helmet cam in a month or so. Hopefully I will post some cool vids....maybe some of me not crashing...

You'll have to look for the amount of "TV Lines" of resolution. I've got a helmetcam, and it's 480 lines. I'm pretty happy with it, and have shot about 20 vids using it.
I would also suggest using a camcorder MiniDV for the recording device (seperate from the actual camera). The problem with 2GB of space is, this limits your video time, unless you can greatly reduce the quality for longer recording.
I always carry @6 MiniDV tapes with me. When one fills up, I just pop another one in. I've also got a 9 hour camcorder battery.
Anyways, good luck. There are all kinds of accessories you can get to make your recording more interesting.

On average, that's around 2MB per second. So that would fill up a 2 GB card in 1000 seconds, or about 16.66 minutes. Considering most videos are around 5 minutes, that's enough, but they're usually cropped down from at least an hour of footage.
It's really the Bit rate that matters. You could be standing still, and it would hardly take up any disk space. The faster you go, the higher the bit rate.
Hopefully the device will have a bit rate setting as well as a resolution size setting.

BTW, youtube resolution just sucks, so if you want only high res video, don't upload it there. Try to find a server that won't compress it for you, and just give us the direct link to that.

Nice footage!!! I still have along way to go on my director skills! I will have to experiment on different angles, adjustments, fittings etc. Got nice ideas from you. What kind of software do you use to edit the vid?
As it was my first time using the cam, I will not be posting anything at this point (too embarassed). I was just trying the cam out (no this is not an excuse) just to see the resolution etc, basically playing around. Anyway "practice makes perfect" so when I reach near perfection I will proudly post my video from the stony foresty mountains nearby Athens, Greece....

The other alternative was the Viosport Adventure Cam 3. Does that still fall unde 'lipstip cams are crap.' The main reviewer seems to like it but maybe they're sort of comparing dressed up pigs and find this one to be the hottest looking one. What say you? It's pretty pricey, too. Something like $300-500 depending on accessories and that doesn't count the camcorder.
Newbie question, for these types, do they plug straight into most camcorders or does the camcorder have to have a special plug. Looks like a S-video plug from the pic.

For a little more than $100, go buy a smaller camera (like this one) that takes far better video, weighs less, and isn’t prone to crashing. I’ve had the camera itself lock up 4 times now while filming. I’ve probably only taken about 20 videos, which puts my failure rate in the neighborhood of 20%. I just wish the company I’d bought from had a return policy. Wait for the ATC-3000 and pray that they fix the sensor."

It's one of the better consumer lipstick cams.

The video camera needs to have VCR/VTR in aka "video in" port. Check the manual, they are common, except on EU models.
