I have a bike with horizontal drop-outs pointing forward with limit screws in the back. I'm not entirely sure what the good the screws do back there but whatever. They don't get in the way.
What I find is that, during a hard ride, the drive-train side of the axle will scoot forward in the drop-out and the wheel will rub on the left chain stay. Of course, really cranking down on the bolt will prevent it.
What I'm wondering is, does anyone make track (rear facing) drop-outs with limit screws in the front ? If I had those, I could just adjust the axle to where its supposed to be, the axle couldn't slide forward and the axle bolts would largely be secondary. I understand that this would make getting the wheel off more difficult.
I'd ask on the singlespeed forum but I'm open to custom drop-outs and brazing them myself.
