I was a Blocker at my school's Intramural Tournament.
At my parents house, we have a volleyball court set up in our back field in the summers. We usually play quite a bit of 2v2.

I was a really good indoor player, never played out doors that much though.

Me to. I played for many years as an indoor player, just to short for sand. I was the setter and general defense player. I suppose we would have been classed as AA league, but we were in the Navy.
The doctor says I can't play anymore after I tore a vestigal (sp) tendon in my left calf. :(
Best sport I ever played.

What always amazed me was how high some people could jump, and "usually" basketball players had a huge learning curve because they palmed the ball all the time.

I used to run a sand volleyball league. Met some great chicks that way!

I play indoor recreational volleyball at the church once a week.
I have a decent serve, but not much else. Not being able to jump certainly doesn't help my game.

With that said................I investigate paranormal on the side from my day to day job. Got any so called hauntings let me know. Non profit here and do it for the love of it.

I've been roofed a time or two but I can dink the best of ya. I hate contact sports because I just get to mad when someone hit me or fowls me. It is best that I just don't go there. :)
I was playing in a church league when I tore the tendon, not enough stretching. :(

Never played anything more formal than intramural, but I really like it because it's very social and low-key. Unlike most other sports, you can get together a pickup game of volleyball with just about any crowd of people not completely glued to their couch and have fun or make it as competitive as people want.
I know there's a "rec" organization in portland, but I kind of gathered it's mostly ex-high school/college players.

After playing some serious ball for so long, playing something less is just not fun. I teach it as school and sometimes I will scrimmage with them but nothing competitive anymore.
5/1 offense or sometimes a 6/1 if I was jumping well that day. :)
I coached a womens team once and they did pretty well so for our last practice they all showed up braless and bounced around on the gym floor during practice. I was really dumbfounded, couldn't figure out why they had done that when the floor captain came over to me and said that was their payment to me for coaching them to a winning season. :)
