General Cycling Discussion - Be vewy, vewy quiet . . . I'm hunting cyclists . . .heh-heh-heh-heh

Hello, again from Shari. . . just thought I'd drop a hint . . . If any of you guys ever get a chance to come down and ride on the river road in the Santa Clarita valley (especially during the day on weekdays), look me up. I seem to be one of a very few women cycling those trails. I also love going out the 126 toward Ventura. So if you see a chick on a black Cannondale triple-crank with a long, brown ponytail and black/silver helmet--that's me. A lot of times (especially if I see a group of good-looking guys coming toward me), I'll wink, just out of reflex, though I know that can't be seen because of the shades. So I end up doing the next best thing--I wave, or if I'm in an especially good mood, I'll do the Vulcan "live-long-and-prosper" deal . . . just because I can.:D

lol Shari...sorry, i am ignorant of Ca's geography.. but there is a guy on another forum who thought he saw me( black Cannondale, ponytail..etc) and he lives in Hermosa Beach... and rides all over the area.. i live in the opposite side of North America... so maybe it was you he saw?
if you see a guy on a handpainted Mango beast..believe me you will notice the bike... maybe not the guy :) just wink.... it would make him very happy.

p.s. doesn't david bowie sound like elmer fudd in the song"Put on your red shoes?" :)

OK, OK . . .so I didn't word it right . . . sorry! I thought I needed more sleep . . . now I KNOW I need more sleep, if I don't even know how to talk! As for loving my bike . . . well, there's love, and then there's LOVE, if you know what I mean. Obviously I love my bike in the figurative sense, as it's an inanimate object. Let's face it, there are certain things a man can do for a woman that a bike is just not up to:) (Although sometimes I swear the bike takes on a soul of its own during extremely tough uphills.) In any case, I have, in fact, named the bike "Lucille," which I thought was sort of cute for a couple reasons . . . first, it's a play on Weird Al Yankovich's "You Picked a Fine Time to Leave Me, Loose Wheel,"--secondly, I figure if it's good enough for B.B. King's guitar, it's good enough for my 'Dale.;)
