This summer I'll be in the Lake Como area of Italy and want to make a pilgrimage to the Madonna del Gisallo. That is a much longer climb than I'm used to - some parts 12-14% grade. Here is my typical sub 50 mile ride:

And here is Ghisallo:

No may notice a slilght difference in elevation:eek:.
So I have 3 1/2 months to work on my climbing but I don't have any long grades like this near me. That being said, I have a couple of double digit grades that last well less than a mile. As part of my winter training, I just started working with Spinervals and am working on some core strengthening excersises. Probably in the next few weeks I'll be able to ride outside again, hopefully sooner than later.
So any suggestions or should I just stop a lot on the way up to Ghisallo to take pictures:rolleyes:. One way or another I'll be in better shape than I am now, I'm hoping to still have at least one lung by the time I get to the top.
Thanks,
Bob
