What is an avg quote that I should be paying for this model bike. I've called up places and it sells for $600, but yet I have seen people on this forum that have bought it under $500. Any good stores that anyone know from nyc/nj area? Your help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Ebay.

EDIT: More time to type now, I got mine off Ebay for a little over $500 IIRC, from an LBS somewhere (I assume they had more stock than they could sell locally).

One store quoted me $550 plus tax and shipping. I ended up getting it from a small shop that only sold raleigh and diamondback for $525 plus tax.

Good idea: Buy a lockring wrench, since you'll probably need it at another time anyways. Tighten lockring. Remember that lockrings are reverse threaded.

Bad Idea, but certainly possible: Take a screwdriver. Insert into one of the notches around the edge of the lockring. Tap lightly will a hammer until lockring is tight. Once again, remember, lockrings are reverse threaded.
