Hello,

I've bought an old Ciocc to restore as a spring project. It's already built up with a mish-mash of parts, and I'm trying to decide whether any of them are worth keeping. (The Shimano Sora gears are gone already...!)

The bars look the most promising. They're quite a nice shape, a bit like old Cinellis. They have "A&L" and "N.S.C.O" engraved on top.

I'm wondering if anyone has heard of this make?

Thanks,
Docus

Bump.

Can anyone help Docus?

I've peeled off the fluorescent pink (!) bar tape to have a better look at them.

I think the letters spell "A&I" rather than "A&L". These letters have engraved laurels around them. Below that are the letters N.S.C.O

Any help much appreciated (and thanks for the bump East Hill!)

I think we need photos, docus. The engraved laurel wreath seems to be a common theme on handlebars, and I'm not enough of an expert to give you much help.

True, there are a number of bars that have that sort of engraving on them. Being from a CIOCC, they could be european or from Japan.
