Southeast - B&B ride 1st week in April-suggestions?

My wife and I want to get away first week in April and do some riding in the South. We'd like to find 2 or 3 B&Bs and ride 25-50 miles daily (perhaps with a day off) We live in NC and have never really explored Alabama, Arkansas, Tennesse- any areas to suggest? What about the Natchez Trace?

Helen-Dahlonega-Elijay would be a nice 3 nighter. I can't see the mileage being a problem but I am in South Georgia. There's got to be plenty of quaint little B&B's along the way. Wish I could sucker my wife into that.
