First your going to want to cut your bars to about 20". Then cut the flanges off your grips and grip your bars on the bends. A good G-Unit or rap playlist on your boombox (iPods aren't gangster) is crucial. You hop into the air performing what we BMX enthusiasts like to call a bunny-hop. Once at the peak of your hop you must spin your handlebars a proper 360 degrees. Make sure when you spin them you flail your arms around over them and hit your chest a few times to look like a retard. Once they are coming back around you want to grab them. Then prepare for the landing. Ride away clean screaming EDWIN AIN'T GOT ****!

I guess that's true.
I tried some at Woodward into the foam. Got one or two. Then just threw one right to my gut and gave up. I don't know how people do barspins without hitting their knees or stomachs. And don't say they cut their bars because plenty of people do barspins and stuff with Slams...

I don't know too many people that throw barspins with slams, it probably isn't the smartest thing to do. I never attempted a barspin, too scared.

Learn how to do them in manuals, and especially how to catch them and continue the manual, and then you'll be able to do them, and it's not as dangerous as just trying hop barspins out of nowhere.
(I can't do that yet)

I did the whole parking lot at my high school. :D
I'll get a vid clip if you don't believe me. I believe it's around 50 spaces.

Damn. I suck at them too, I've practiced them almost every time I ride but the most I've done is maybe 100 feet. Right now I can't do them well at all, out of practice.

How do you do a manual? All that I can do is a wheelie where I pedal to get up. I figured I would ask since you guys are on this topic.

I'm sure he knows that, we all know what looping out is.
Some people prefer their brakes and other like legs instead. Only time I would use my brakes is manualing down a steep ledge ala Mike Aitken.
just incase you don't already know, when you go off the back end of the bike its called looping-out, you can also bend your kees to prevent looping out
actually i was refering to the part before you loop out. the part where your too far back.
next time you correct someone make the correction correct.
i never said you couldnt, he asked why people use their brakes and i answered him

Hardly anybody runs a front brake on a BMX.
wethepeople
02-25-07, 06:35 PM
Bull****.
Slowing the front wheel will dip the back of your bike down in the air. Also, ever do a manual/wheelie and have the front wheel stop and notice how it gets harder to stay balanced? Thats because the gyroscopic effect that it creates isn't there to help you any more.
never thought about that
theres alot you dont think about

He wasn't banned, as far as I know... must have just decided we weren't worth his time or something.
