Looking for a "beater" bike. I'm having no luck at the yard sales. I want something that will take front and rear fenders and can accomodate a light rear rack. I prefer a steel frame, but can live with aluminum. This bike will basically be used for situations like riding after a rain or I may just keep it at work to ride during lunch when I get the urge. As for a budget, I don't have one, but as low as possible.
So, am I down to buying something used off of ebay or going for a new "entry level" bike like the Jamis Aurora or something like that? Any suggestions appreciated.
