Greetings,
Is anyone from the NYC area planning on riding in the Paris to Ancaster race this year? I just learned about it over the weekend and am thinking about going. It's still really up in the air for me, will depend on how my training goes in the next month and work. But it sounds great.
So, I guess I'm asking if 1) anyone here has experience riding in the race before (gearing, tires, gear) and 2) if anyone with a vehicle wants a rider to share expenses.
FYI, it's April 22nd, from Paris to Ancaster, ON. 60km over rail trail, gravel roads, dirt roads, singletrack, and paved. It's billed as a MTB race, but it seems like a cross bike would be pretty good. There's also a 35km option which they recommend for first timers. Again, depending on training I may wimp out and do that, also as I'll be riding on a single-speed bike.
Anyway, thanks for reading, and check out the site, it sounds like a very nice event.
