General Cycling Discussion - Chopper

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Anybody ever see these? I want one SO bad. They come finished or rolling ready for paint. Did I mention I really really want one?

... known technically as chunkulation
that's not a chopper. it's too shiny. lowrider, sure.
a long fork and lots of chrome does not a chopper make.

sheesh that's a lot of spokes in the first pic (red bike) must be a trueing nightmare :p
Seen one during RAGBRAI in 2001 however it had multi speeds. A guy rode the whole route on it, hills and all!
a friend of mine tried to make one of those out of some old bikes he had in his basement. it was a blast to ride but steering was difficult and i got a few weird looks.
They look cool. I sure would like to try one out.

I attended the 'chunkatalon' last weekend and had a blast. There's more to bike culture than weekend road rides!
I forgot--learn to weld and build yer own! Takes some time, but much more gratifying than store-bought!!
