Alt Bike Culture - Post your rat rods...

I wanna see some custom cruisers, lowriders, choppers etc... I'm working on a little something for the bike build off on ratrodbikes.com and need some ideas/inspiration. I'm rolling some 26" disc brake wheels and a 9 speed rear cassette/derailer on this thing, should be interesting if I can finish it in time. I'm probably doing the whole ape hanger, stick shifter, banana seat thing on this one, but I could be swayed in another direction if I get inspired.

Too bad about no frame modification, I was thinking out adding some stuff to a mountain bike frame.
I was browsing the forum and this one (http://ratrodbikes.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=625&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0) is really nice.

ill upload some pics onto my photobucket site and post em here when i get a chance, i have a rat rod that is mostly rescued and restored parts, and i have a way cool lookin lowrider with a custom bent seat post and huge cruiser seat (not a bananna seat/sissy bar set up usually seen on lowriders w/ bent springer forks) i love these kinds of bikes, keep the pics comin! fast eddie outty

check it out, a rescued schwinn frame (i re-painted it white)/fork/pedal assembly/sissy bar/bananna seat, cruiser handlebars that came off a retired beach cruiser, a rescued stem, re-built 16" coaster brake rear wheel, suicide steer knob (on handlebars) from an old cadilac, 2 (one on each side of handlebars) WHIR twist noisemaker hand grips, new adjustable kickstand, 2 reflector mounts - on on top/one on bottom - of head tube to mount something to (dont know what im gonna mount yet) and lots of reflectors.

waiting for - the cupholder to be mounted, more reflectors, the wheeli bar, and a chain so i can ride the stupid thing. waddya think? fast eddie outty

i had the seat post bent so that i could mount a very comfy cruiser seat w/ springs, gel seat, and extra wide butt area! im not a fan of bananna seats but i needed to sit over the rear wheel to make pedaling as "easy" as possible - or at least as easy as it can be on a lowrider. waddy think? fast eddie outty

Still getting some finishing touches, but this is Al Frankenstein. Now sporting a 3 speed internal hub, fabricated bars and a couple mods and tweaks.

Here's mine. I made it with a buddy of mine years ago. We expected it'd last maybe 6 months and it's been almost 6 years. It has chrome cruiser fenders now.

Fast Eddie, I'm doing my seat post like your lowrider but I'm probably still gonna go with a banana seat. It works out really well, since the seat is for a stingray and this bike is a 24 incher the sissy bar ends up vertical. The seat will end up 2" or less above the 26" tire. I did a mock up and it looks saw-wheat!
