It didn't need much done to it because it was already in good shape but it still rides and looks better than when I bought it a couple of weeks ago. It's a mid 80's Fuji Touring Series III. I removed the stickers because this is my commuter bike and I didn't want to attract attention to it by having a bunch of brand name stickers on it. It's a stealth Fuji. Still has Fuji badge and Fuji stamped on the forks and on one spot on the frame.

It is indeed a stealth bike! But, it's still shiny enough to attract BlankCrows's friends :D .

It looks great!

Cool! Hopefully it will stay under the radar. I have a Royale, an earlier tourer from maybe 79 or 80 and it rides great.

Sweet! I recently removed a couple decals off a Ross... well mostly because it was a Ross. But it really did help the appearance since they were such large and plain decals. That's one of the reasons I don't like modern aluminum bikes - fat tubes = fat decals. :D

We ought to commission MSwantak to do a sticker series for Walmart or KMart -- The "Martha Stewart" lineup.

Ought to be safe anywhere.

It's funny because it's true. Great idea silversmith.

Um...looks like the tourer has cantis and downtube shifters, whereas the Sagres has centerpulls. Maybe some eyelets for rack/fenders on the tourer. Otherwise pretty much the same bike.

I've had three used Fujis and the large seat tube decal has always been a mess. I removed same and the looks of the Fujis was much improved. I heartily agree with what you've done.

Around here, I think a decal reading 'Peligro - radiactivo!' would be good too. Or you could just stick Schwinn Varsity decals on it... :p

Good Job on the bike, I picked one up a couple of years ago and am using it as a commuter and very happy with it. From what I read, it was a great value $175 with replacements and modifications. This bike came out at the high point of the Japanese Touring phase, when the Yen was low and the quality was very good.
