I am restoring my fathers 30 something year old touring bike and I need to find some handlebars that will fit bar end shifters the originals got ruined in an auto accident

Some classic touring drop bars should be just fine. Nitto makes some really nice ones and you could do a daytrip down to http://www.rivbike.com to browse around. They should be able to set you up with just about anything you need for the project. Good luck, post pics when you´re done!

Be aware that modern handlebars might not work with your handlebar stem. The diameter will be too big.
Some Nitto bars come in 25.4 diameter. That's probably what you need. If the handlebars slip no matter how much you tighten the the clamp, Nitto also sells a shim.

yeah I am aware it is a 25.4m x 22.2mm jis steerer -10 and 100mm long stem I also have a 26.0 jis stem that is much shorter too short to fit me right I figure I will probably end up with nitto randonneur bars the shifters fit into some old french bars I have that are too small for even velox plugs

now to find gum non aero hoods for dia compe
