Foo - All in good fun

For all of you that have so much disrespect for hospitals and doctors, you can get a form for "Do Not Resuscitate" orders and give it to your minister or whoever provides you with spiritual guidance, and a copy to your spouse or family. Because when you get hit by a car while riding your bike, or end up with appendicitis, or any of the other countless things that can happen to you in life, you'll want something on record concerning your wishes. Even though hospitals have the legal and moral obligation to care for the sick and injured, a person can still object to medical treatment later and be discharged "Against Medical Advice." (But in cases of reversible circumstances--like appendicitis--a hospital has the right to get courts involved, because the hospital has the moral responsibility to provide care.)

So if a person is ignorant enough to show disrespect, even contempt, for something they know relatively nothing about, they still have the oppurtunity to ail in misery and pain and do nothing to help themselves, dying in a pointless way. They still have the oppurtunity to come here to Bike Forums and ask for advice about what to do with the bone sticking out of their skin or what they should do with their mother that had a bad headache and went unconscious. Along with the brilliant rhetoric, there's so much good advice here in BF, and you get a lot of good humor to go with it. Hey! You could crack jokes about the bone sticking out of your skin and say something like "Best ***** I've had in a long time!" And somebody with a better sense of humor than me can think of something good to say about the unconscious person laying on the floor.

But it's all in good fun, ain't it?

I don't know about the others, but I think this thread is plenty fun without taking any "best shots". It has social impotence, pathos, irony, everything!

I will say it is quite cold and raining up here, and my fingers are still stiff (I've just gotten back from a ride), so it's entirely possible that I have brain freeze as well.

Hmm, I have no wine corks around, but I do have one from a whiskey bottle...would there be any adverse effects from using any other cork than a wine cork?
