Looks like they might be worth $100. Don't know if it would be worth the hassle though. Then again, Jon has a lot more free time on his hands than most of us.

We're hoping that there will be some decent road bikes in there. All of that is 99 dollars and you get to have everything. So we'll see.

Is he gonna send one to Taerom? :D

I don't think you'll fine any decent roadbikes in there. I think its going to be all old school BMX bike, kiddo bikes, etc stuff for the little guys!!

You can see a row of road bike frames in there.

Meh. It's worth a shot.

All I see is stole and lent.

Not stolen. Same guy we went too last time. He has permission and the cops know about it. He does some kind of bike recycle thing through the schools and he's trying to get rid of everything.

Probably less than $99. LTL prices for scrap steel are pretty low ($150 a ton maybe). If you're lucky, that's probably two hundred pounds of steel, so $15 as scrap.

You guys are going to the dump?

We may get there and it might all suck. Who knows, but if there are any decent frames in there we were going to rebuild and try to sell them cheap on Craigslist.

Go for it Pheard!!! :) Hope you find something worth while then!!

Here's what I would do - snatch up all the road frames, especially if they're older, steel, and in good shape. If they have horizontal drops, convert them to S/S and resell. Otherwise, clean up and resell. You should be able to break your $100 investment on the first few you flip.

Yep, thanks for the positive feedback. That's our hope.

We all know Siu has ocd, she can clean them and polish em.

Maybe Jon will just let you finance the project, he can do all of the labor, then you all can split the profit. Jon, keep in mind that the tire goes on the wheel, the tube inside the tire and the rim strip goes between the tube and the rim. ;)

If nothing else Jon should at least learn how to work on a bike by the time you are done I guess. That is worth much more than the $100 investment.

Sounds like fun!

Siu, you should get together with Jon and learn a bit about bike mechanics...it's actually pretty easy stuff for the most part.

Bikes: not bad to assemble, easier to take apart, hard a hell to figure out where that popping sound is coming from :p

...and in due time you'll figure out that popping sound too...then it's all cake from there.

Looks like fun! You can always combine a couple of those frames together to build a tall-bike! :)

Yeah, the one up top with teh pink handlebars adn the white tires. If Taerom asks nicely, Pheard may even spring for new streamers for the bar ends. :D

Don't worry, if there is a good road bike in there I see the makings of a great 6 foot unicycle.

I only didn't have rim tape because I wanted to test Siu. I wanted to make sure she knew her stuff, because I care about her. *snnnfff snff*
