Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
got the schwinn roadbike all ready to ride and now there is a tick when i stand to pedal. so i think well perhaps the rear wheel is getting loose some loose spokes.. then i thought crank bolts. snugged those up
perhaps the taper on the bottom bracket? i tried one more thing and the tick seems to be located to the right side of the drive train.. crankarms my guess or pedal needs to be tightened. but im trying to think what else it may be.
guess it time to chase the gremlins.

My experience has been that mysterious "ticks" and creaks coming from the crank area is often a result of the bottom bracket/bottom bracket shell interface. Try removing the bottom bracket and re-greasing the threads. If that doesn't do it, use some teflon plumber's tape on the threads, that sometimes works when just re-greasing doesn't-

All good options. This crops up twice a week, and I got awesome advice on the same problem from the forum. If you've eliminated every other source (pedals, stem, front derailleur clamp) and you get to the Teflon tape, remember to use a lot (not just 1-2 wraps, put a TON on).
