Road Cycling - Gommitalia Tires

Has anyone else tried gommitalia tires yet? I purchased my first set this spring and I might be hooked. So far they seem to be smoothest best riding tire I have used. I am using the logo 700x23 inflated at 115psi I have used contis, specialized & panaracer in the past,but these are great!

Mnpunky, thanks for the tip! One can never learn enough about tires.

A couple of questions:

(1) What do you use them for? What are your roads/paths/pavements like?

(2) Do you have a URL for the manufacturer or outlet?

(3) Could you tell us when they are worn out? Hopefully, that will be not too soon. (To me, durability is an important selection criterion.)

I use them for training/fast group rides on paved roads in decent shape, so far they are wearing nicely for the first 250 miles

Are you using the clinchers or the tubulars?
I've heard their lower end tubulars are not all
that good.
(I know, I know, NEVER ride cheap tubulars).

They make many models. Not sure what mnppunky actually is riding but their high end tires are very nice. Basicly in the past compared a bit to the Vittoria high end tires.

I have tried a pair and loved the "feel" of them. If you like Panaracer tires, you should love the Gommitalia tires. They don't wear long enough for training tires, but the road characteristics are terrific.
A clydesdale riding buddy tried them and had a lot of flats. Bottom line on that is to not weigh over 250 pounds and try to ride lightweight 700X23 tires.

Gommitalia makes some of the cheaper tubulars available locally. Most people buy them to use as spares being that they are quite cheap and nasty, but aren't too bulky.

Oh! The way everybody else is talking,i figured they were elite tires i never heard of.
