2- I bet if a national poll is taken, the average woman does NOT feel appreciated on a DAILY basis.

Besides, appreciation should be distrubuted to both partners of a relationship equally, regardless of gender.

Well, my wife is pregnant (and certain..ahem..drives of hers have lowered), so this man has not been "appreciated" in a while, at least by her. Self-"appreciation" is another matter:D

I bet if a global poll were taken, a depressingly low amount of people would feel they're appreciated, or even important, so I wouldn't bother bringing that up.

And I have to say I disagree with you on both people in a relationship being appreciated equally. People should be appreciated for what they actually do. If the male is making all the money but the female is effectively working three jobs as a housekeeper, nanny, and gardener, then she deserves more appreciation. On the other hand, if the male is making all the money and the female is just sitting around the house, she doesn't deserve nearly as much. This of course is gender-reversible.

Its not just about intimate relations, its about really just appreciating that person. Caring about them, listening to them, talking to them, loving them, touching them and so forth. :)
