General Cycling Discussion - V

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I would just like to say, last night was the best damn night for a ride EVER!!! I had a 8pm ride home from university and was a bit p*ssed of that my light doesn't hold battery charge as well as I'd like. I mean, it was enough to get me home, but last night was so beautiful that I just wanted to keep riding all night until the sun came up.

I'm still hoping to find, in the US, a generator light that's both affordable and good. There's so little interest in utilitarian cycling that it's unlikely such a thing will come along.

Sorry, can't help it. It's just moving into that time of the year now when all you want to do is ride ride ride! All day every day. Man, just look at it outside today, perfect! I reckon I live in the best place in the world.

I like pre-dawn darkness myself. One thing I like doing is riding up into the mountains before sunrise, seeing all the lights of the city below, then watching the sun come up over the ocean, before riding home in daylight. That is seriously AWESOME!!!

I often wonder what it's like in the 'gong and other places where you actually get a winter :D . It's pretty much been spring up here since about mid-may (that's when the flowers started coming out). We've had a couple of cool mornings, but none of the actual days have been genuinely cold up here.
