Hi folks, trying to cure my ignorance. Is it "safe" to assume my 0'6 Montaque has a British/I.S.O. BB? I need to replace the crank/gearwheel and don't want to ship parts around/pay restocking fees/ruin good will when I buy a new crank. Am open to suggestions on who makes a good grade of tools.

Do you have a BB in ther now? If so check for any size markings and go to http://sheldonbrown.com/bbsize.html

Thanks. I looked at Sheldon's stuff, and found some pictures of different types of BB. I will get the crank arms pulled off and see if I can read something.
