So I am converting my commuting bike (which is a mountainbike) to drop bars. I got a pair of dropbars and an 8 speed Ultegra brifter from my local bike co-op, and I have a barcon for the front coming in the mail soon. Being a newer mountain bike, I have disc breaks, and fortunately enough I now have a new set of Avid BB7 Road calipers that i was going to use for another project that just got scrapped.

My local community co-op has a plethora of old road levers. What are some brand/models to look for?

Any road levers will work with cantlever brakes. The better known brands are Shimano, Sun Tour and Dia Compe.
