I setting up a surprise 40th birthday party for a friend. A group of us played a couple years ago at a bachelor party and had a lot of fun. The guy turning 40 kept saying we should go back and play again.
My only problem with some of those places, are some of the people who play regularly are sooooo into it. Last time we played there were these two 13yr old kids with computer operated, Laser guided, $1000 guns, that their parents bough for them. They were talking smack and challenged five of us to a match. Five adults against two 13 yr olds. They killed us all in like two minutes.
I'm going to have to start training, I think I'll rent Rambo tonight.

I've only been paintballing once, with a bunch of people I work with. It was our hardware store vs. the local grocery store. The grocery store team had these two brothers who were probably about 13, who kicked all of our asses.

Challenge them to a mountain bike race, and put them in their place! :)

I started playing in 1997 and have been into it ever since. I play more the speedball type game rather than the woodsball. Only because I don't have the attention span. I even work part time as a photographer to a paintball magazine in the UK. I've gone all over the USA and it is a cool sport.

Here is a pic of me from Tampa.

I played once at a bachelor party. I played at the indoor field at Splatball in Minneapolis (http://www.splatball.com/Splatball%20Fields/Indoor/index.htm).

I was shocked at how much those paintballs sting! One of them slipped under my mask and busted my lip, they taste pretty nasty too :D

lol...i enjoyed this

I play, i guess i did...i didn't actually go out at all last summer. It's fun but yeah...the guns today take some of the skill out of it when you have a traditional blow back.

Electric guns have been out for a while now though, you can probably get one on the cheap...hell i bought a bushmaster for $100 a few years ago, 12 balls per second

I've always wanted to try this. <shrug> WTFnot? <curious Vega look> But only with recreational older players. Not the shiz teens and preteens with an ominous taste for "hunt-n-kill."

Any older, or slower, Foo'ers in my area wanna try it sometime, just for fun? Kinda like the old "bang-bang-I-got-you-no-you-didn't" games of our youth? But with paint to bear it out? :D

I wouldn't want to do any way except for pure fun and no serious challenge....

I have only played with "private parties" where we have brought in our own group - both from work- two different jobs--- and just competed against each other.

I cannot imagine playing against hardcore competitors.
