So my son (repeatedly) told me to get a Chocolate phone when my Verizon 2 year renewal was up. Now I have one, and every time I or my husband pick the darn thing up it does all sorts of stuff. I have taken to picking it up by the top edge (no hidden buttons there), and was SO thankful that the bluetooth headset came today - I'm thinking that I can just turn the phone on and not touch it. Now I just have to ask Salsa how to work the headset. I hate being old.

See, there's not really a problem with being old, most technologies nowadays are very user friendly (almost too user friendly in some cases, which can annoy people who want to tinker with the insides), the problem is that apperently you got a piece of crap. Even my grandmother is able to use a cellphone to some point, so I doubt it's you.

I suppose it's me - I like buttons you PRESS on a tiny item, rather than touch. I'm sure I'll get used to it since I'm stuck with it for 2 years. I like the color, anyway (cherry)

I think it's funny how adults think kids are technology savvy because they can flip on a computer or whatever the thing may be and work it. It's really easy, honestly.

I have adults telling me I'm computer savvy and I was even asked to do the newsletter for our church(even though I don't go  ) just because no one knows how to use basic computer programs.

I really don't know much about anything, basic skills is all I have.

Pheard, I like your hair... that being said, Salsa is better at computer-like things that fit in your hand, but still comes to momma for computer solutions. Go figure.

(It must be said that Salsa wears a helmet that's a size larger than he needs for his whiteboy afro which his mom refuses to make him cut)

+1 I get this all the time!! when I got into computers I could'nt turn the dang thing on!! We bought on from a shady shop and of course got ripped off,so I told myself that if I could spread my Chevy Truck engine around the garage and reassemble it AND have it run what can be so hard about this stinkin little box? Best thing I've ever taught myself!
Now ten years later when my one of coworkers comes by the house and steps into the living room (office) they Freak Out Big Time! Four computers, too many monitors, some with 3-d artwork (I like Bryce and Fractails) one with a Nascar race (Tv cards are cool),Chat rooms,Message boards,Way too much sound (Gotta love the Grateful Dead) Ect. they start doing the "I'm not Worthy" bow! It's funny as all get out. And when I tell them that if they can tune a Chevy they too can do this, they are like "Yea Right"
And the Best Part...Not One Piece of Microsoft or Windows in my house,Gawd it's nice to be FAT Free!

And I'm dang sure not a teenager (gonna be 50 soon,AARP Here I come!)
