They cleared the streets, and I was so astounded on so many different levels, that I had to take photos!!

-- The main streets are still in pretty rough conditions, and yet opted to clear the small residential ones.
-- They didn't clear the street to the pavement in most places. They did a bit at one end, but that was it.
-- They left these mounds of snow just sitting out there, taking up the places where we usually park. We've no idea when they will remove them ... they've been there two days already and may be there till they melt!!

Anyway, all that snow is from one little street!

On the upside, the sun is getting stronger so what's left on the roads should melt soon. :)

Wow - you guys did get a lot of snow :). My guess is that you're going to watch those piles of snow slowly melt for some time...

We have had a lot of snow, and it is supposed to start snowing again tonight and keep snowing till Wednesday. :(

got about 20cm here in the last few days. And really cold and windy to go with it. I've blown the driveway out 3 times in 3 days. It's a quick job with the big blower but 50m of driveway is still long enough.
It's time to hold that Groundhog accountable!

There are whole fields full of those here. My usual trails have been blocked off by massive piles of icy snow for months.

Machka,

That looks like...Winnipeg?

Machka,

No ... Winnipeg actually removes the snow ... or they did during the time I lived there!

That would be Red Deer, the place where they have no clue how to deal with snow on roads ... and rajman, you were right ... we're watching them melt.
