Yea I know excercise bikes went out some time ago.but it was only $8. so why not I could not afford a real trainer so this was the next best thing.I have been riding it a little for a while but now I decided to step up my game,so the other night I plugged in a copy of the tour de flanders and started cranking.
I spun for an hour playing with the resistance nob the whole time. The last mile (according to the old gauge that is mounted to this thing)I cranked the nob all the way down and stood up on the peddles and spun out at full throttle.
About 10 minutes later everyone came home and immeadatly started complaining about the smell. It seams that the little resistance wheel is burning up.Now I am not bragging about it cause I know that I am not the wattage output king but is this a common problem?I am trying to arrange the money for a trainer now but I am just not there yet.I have to make this work for a bit.I am thinking that if I burn up this little resistance wheel the wife will be more apt to let me get the trainer I am looking at,but if it keeps stinking up the house I am going to end up outside riding this thing.
