After a 40 mile ride on Saturday I developed a bad, BAD big toe blister. I have a race next Saturday.
What is my best approach to:
A. Be able to race next Saturday, and
B. Be able to continue to train this week?
I think a bad rain storm a week ago must have shrunk my toe box somewhat. I have the shoes in a stretcher right now, but I really need to ride this week, and right now it hurts like h@#l!

In case anyone is interested, it turned out to be an infection, NOT a blister. Some sort of bacteria got under the skin. Anti-biotics are working fast, and I expect to have no trouble with my 100K race this weekend.

Ooh, I bet that smarts.

Saturday night and Sunday it hurt like heck. It's much better now that the anti-biotics are working on it. Looks like a small bruise instead of a huge inflamed blister.

just for reference if anyone does have a blister they need to get over fast: pop it, clean it, superglue it. A temporary fix, but not a bad one.
