whats up? my name is david. i drive a jeep cherokee XJ with to many mods to list. i just recently got into bikes with a friend of mine. i have a cheapo walmart mongoose XR-75. lookin to get something a little nice but dont have the $$ to do so right now with a mile long list of mods for the jeep getting ready to be put on. just stoppin in to learn and ask newb questions!

Hello David, don't worry about having the Mongoose, it's a bike, and it's still rideable. You could try keeping your eye on the Nashville Craigslist if you'd like to try to pick up a reasonably priced decent bike (for example, I noticed a Giant road bike there in Spring Hill for $50--although it looked to be a big bike). If you're reasonably competent with modifying your Jeep Cherokee you should be able to wrench on a bike :) .
Also, if you are in Brentwood, then you are only about a few miles from Radnor Lake NA, and not a whole lot further from Percy Warner Park--two awesome places to get out and ride. All I can say is, get out and enjoy your rides!
