Hi,

Took apart my girlfriend's new '78 Schwinn Traveler 3 for cleaning and lube and it seems I didn't pay enough attention to the cable routing for the rear derailer.

I did have the good sense to keep track of the which piece of housing is which, but I can't figure out how to run it from the clamp-on cable guide to the rear stop without the tire rubbing on the housing. If anyone can snap a pic of their rear routing or can tell me what I'm doing wrong, I would appreciate it greatly.

Thanks!!!

I believe that cable (on the right in the picture) is for the front derailleur, not the rear.

You have the front and rear derailleur cables reversed. The rear cable runs on the drive side, the front on the non-drive side. And don't drop that bike on your bare feet!
