I have a meeting near Tours (specifically Saumur) in a couple of weeks. I just realized that I could catch the start of Paris-Nice (or not) and do some touring down the Loire before the meeting. Trouble is, I don't know where to store my bike carrying case after I get to Paris.

Possible options:

Store it at the airport: Does anyone know if it's possible?
Find someplace near the airport: anyone know of anyplace? Bike shop?
Rent a bike.
Tie the case to the back of the bike with a bungee cord and duct tape ;)

Others????

I'm guessing the weather is hit-and-miss that time of year, but any comments/tour suggestions are also appreciated.

If you're staying in the same hotel near the airport at the beginning and end of you're journey, ask them if they can store it for you and offer to pay a few Euros for their trouble.

Thanks for the suggestion, but I won't be staying at a hotel in Paris (all but one night is covered by my employer). I'm thinking now of just renting a bike; I have sent a couple of emails to rental agencies I found on-line, but haven't heard anything back yet.

Lazy French.

(Seriously, though, if anyone has a favorite bike rental place in Paris, Tours, Blois, or thereabouts), let me know, s'il vous plait.
