Did anyone see the interview?

Jay brought up the subject, and Jerry asked Jay to phrase all future questions with "As a cyclist". This went on for 3 - 4 minutes; Jerry even had pictures of him on his bike. It looked like an older litespeed classic. Apparently Jerry rides 35 miles a day and considers himself "very fit". He even explained the functionality of bike shorts.

Any other celebrity cyclists we dont know about?

Robin Williams, Michael Richards, Jerry Seinfeld...

One of the members of the metal band Megadeth is a sport or expert class MTB racer. He brings his bike on tour with him so he can ride the local stuff while he is there.

:) I bet there are a lot of celebrity cyclists. It's a good way for them to get away for all the photographers. They can dress up in cycling garb a helmet and dark sun glasses. Then just sneak away.

Musicians: Bob Weir, and Rush drummer Neal Peart. Locally, Oregon Symphony violist Anna Schaum is a rider, and violinist Marty Jennings was in an ad for one of their concerts sitting on an '80's splotch-painted Rossin. I have wondered if speculative fiction author William Gibson is a cyclist due to the numerous messenger and bike equipment references in the series of books that started after "Idoru."

Also Sammy Hagar--as well as owning a Marin County bike store and at one time sponsoring a USCF club, Twin Peaks.

Don't forget Woody Harrelson.
His trip from Seattle to Santa Barbara where he rode alongside a bus powered by hempseed oil is now legend. Without the general cycling community knowing it, he has done more for the cycling cause than almost any other modern famous advocate.

Tribal Tech's bass player Gary Willis is an avid MTBiker. He even has a MTB section (http://www.garywillis.com/pages/rest/mtb.html) on his site. He also listed his MTB gear on the last Tribal Tech album (the list is part of a joke). Not famous famous but well-known to musicians... well, to real musicians anyway. ;)

I think he was saying that it is James Cromwell who races.

William Gibson rides, or at least thats what I've heard.
FYI the while messenger thing started in Virtual Light which
was publishedn 1994, Idoru was published 1997.
(hey, check the moniker, you don't think I just made that
up do you?).

Of course Robin Williams rides (and collects) he bought
Whoopie Goldberg a new colnago a few years back.
Eric Clapton is also a rider, one of his bikes was recently
on e-bay (I believe it was a Masi?).
